We publish street-level analysis of official UK property data, and we would rather journalists used it than asked permission. Everything here is free to quote, with a credit and a link.
Who you’re dealing with
Housometer is built and run by Lorcan O'Connor. The analysis on this site is his: the queries, the methodology and the judgement calls about which numbers are solid enough to publish.
We are not an estate agent, a portal or a lead generator. We carry no listings, take no commission and have no agency ties. The business model is a single £5 report a buyer can choose to buy — which is precisely why we can publish the underlying data straight, including when it is unflattering. If a figure looks wrong, say so and we will check it; corrections get made and logged.

Two lines. The first is what we ask for; the second is what the source licence requires of anyone republishing figures derived from it.

Our analysis is derived from HM Land Registry Price Paid Data and other official sources published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Reuse is free, including commercially. No permission needed, no embargo on anything already published.
What we can provide
Usually same-day, often within the hour if you are filing.
Any geography we hold — a neighbourhood, a town, a county, a patch of postcodes. Cheapest as readily as most expensive, £/m², year-by-year for a single street, or the streets that moved most.
When an index or a Budget lands, we can turn the national number into your area’s streets while the story is still running.
On what the data shows and, as importantly, what it cannot support.
Sale counts, date ranges and the exclusions behind any figure, so your desk can check it.
Every page recomputes as HM Land Registry registers new sales, so a table you link to will not go stale under your story. Where a page shows an “Updated” date, that is the date of the most recent recompute, not the last time someone edited copy.
