Britain's new millionaire streets
A street joins the club when the median of its sales over five years passes £1m — not one showpiece deal, but the going rate. This is where the club is growing fastest, from HM Land Registry completed sales.
Across the towns of England & Wales, 3,315 streets now carry a median sold price of £1m or more — a net 976 more than the five years before, with 239 towns adding at least one. London aside, the fastest minter is Harpenden, up from 27 to 43. Every town below links to its full street-by-street table.
London is counted as one town in the Land Registry’s naming, which is why it heads the table — the ex-London leaders are the story for regional desks.
Streets need 8+ sales in the last five years to qualify here, and swings beyond +120% are excluded as likely redevelopment or a change in what sold rather than price growth.
Methodology & use
A street counts as a “millionaire street” when the median of its HM Land Registry sales (standard market sales, 5+ per window) is £1m or more; we compare the last five years with the five before, per town, using the Land Registry’s own town field. Medians — not one headline sale — so a single mansion can’t mint a street. Figures recompute as sales register.
